The technique of waking a jerkbait has been a closely guarded secret in some parts of the country.

The Mimic wake bait is a high quality balsa bait that is specifically designed to wake on the surface like a shad. Cast it out and it wakes back to the boat like a gator without any special modifications. The bait is 4 3/4 inches long and weighs approximately 5/8 ounce. It comes with three Gamakatsu #4 black nickel hooks.
